GivingTuesdayIndia is powered by GuideStar India, a programme of Civil Society Information Services India, a public charitable trust registered in New Delhi in 2009. GuideStar India is India’s largest NGO information repository with more than 9200 verified NGOs on its portal www.guidestarindia.org. It promotes the visibility of NGOs and helps them demonstrate transparency and public accountability through the portal. GuideStar India certifies NGOs, that voluntarily choose to undergo its due diligence process, based on their level of compliance and public reporting. The certification is valid for one year based on the financial year for which the NGO is reviewed.
GivingTuesdayIndia features all GuideStar India registered NGOs that are verified for their non-profit status and their Permanent Account Number with the Income Tax Department in India. You can view profiles of all 10,900+ NGOs and search for their various needs and connect with them directly. However, in our Donate to NGOs links, you would only be shown GuideStar India Certified NGOs that have undergone higher levels of due diligence. Always look for the certification seals. The seals disappear when the NGO's certification validity expires.
