Shramik Bharti is a grassroot development organization working with rural and urban disadvantaged communities in Kanpur, Kanpur Dehat, Auraiya, Sultanpur and Shravasti districts of Uttar Pradesh since 1986.We are working on safe motherhood, eye care, water, sanitation & hygiene, sustainable agriculture, waste land development, rainwater harvesting, renewable energy, micro-finance, micro-insurance, equine welfare etc. Our programs are influencing lives of about 1 million people. In all our endeavours we are committed to empower the disadvantaged people to increase choices in their lives.
•Shramik Bharti has promoted 1323 SHGs having 21,858 members. These groups disbursed loans worth Rs. 12.76 crores during the year.
•SHGs have organised themselves into 7 self-managed and self-sustainable federations.
•About 300 farmers in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab have shifted to Nature Farming practices. 286 farmers in Uttar Pradesh and 197 farmers in Punjab started growing safe vegetables by developing kitchen garden, using nature farming practices.
