Support 300 Slum Children To Return To School!
Leading international child welfare organizations including UNICEF have underlined that ill effects of COVID-19 pandemic lockdown such as social isolation, loneliness, grief, fear and uncertainty etc have had a disproportionately large adverse impact on the mental well-being of young children. Schools have remained shut for over 18 months, preventing the young underprivileged children access to their preferred emotional coping mechanism.
Your donations will directly go towards organizing football games based field sessions which would not just help 300 primary school going young slum children of Nagpur learn English and Maths, regain their physical and mental well-being but, more importantly, keeping them interested and in readiness to resume their learning journey when the schools reopen. This will prevent them from dropping out of school and deter them from the quagmire of anti-social activities like addiction and petty crimes as well as avoid social ills like child labor, child marriage etc.
Please contribute with an open heart and lead these vulnerable young children from dark and dreary gloom to a bright new dawn filled with hope, health and happiness..
Krida Vikas Sanstha, Nagpur popularly known as Slum Soccer is a FIFA awarded premier ‘Sport for Development’ organization working to transform the lives of disadvantaged children.
Using its experience and expertise, Slum Soccer has already conducted football based learning sessions for 750 underprivileged children in 30 community spaces near their homes in Nagpur, Pune and Delhi. This has proven to be an amazing transformative remedy for overcoming the mental trauma and physical lethargy afflicted by COVID19. However, much more needs to be done and much faster.
